HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE?

Bikram designed this yoga as a daily practice. The more often you come to class, the quicker you will see results and benefits. We recommend at least 3-4 times per week; Bikram devotees typically practice at least 5 times per week. Bikram says if you practice every day for 60 days, you will have a new body, new mind and a new life! And we’ve seen this first-hand. Ask us about taking the Bikram 60-Day Challenge!

YOGA IS A PRACTICE:

It’s not about doing the postures perfectly. No one is going to judge you or criticize you. Your fellow students are working much too hard to notice you! As long as you give your best effort and attempt all of the postures correctly, you will receive the same therapeutic benefits as someone who is able to do a posture with a high degree of flexibility, balance and strength. Your instructor may occasionally offer suggestions or adjustments that will carry you deeper into a pose. As you continue to come to class, you will become more and more comfortable with yourself and your yoga practice.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Each class lasts 90 minutes and is practiced in a heated room. It’s a challenging class for everyone and at many points during your first several classes you may feel a little dizzy, lightheaded or nauseated. This is normal. It takes several classes to become acclimated to the heat. If you have any of those sensations, just stand, sit, or lie down. These feelings will disappear as you become acclimated and your body detoxes. It’s perfectly okay to do only one set of a posture or to skip a posture entirely. Listen to your body, breathe and relax, and you will be fine.
