ABOUT BIKRAM YOGA

This beginning yoga is designed for everyone. Try it for at least 1 week. Your body will thank you!

Bikram’s Beginning Yoga is a series of 26 postures, and 2 breathing exercises taught in a 90 minute class designed for all levels.

Each pose is a challenge based on one’s personal abilities. The postures are done in a safe environment of a heated room. The room is intentionally heated to warm your muscles and allow you to work deeper and safer. The heat also heals, helps prevent injuries and promotes sweating which flushes toxins from your body. By the end of class, each individual will have worked ever muscle, tendon, joint, ligament, internal organ and gland while systematically moving oxygenated blood to 100% of the body.

Ideal temperature for this yoga is 105° F with 40% Humidity.

This is a true “Hatha” yoga. A 90 minute moving meditation.

As you increase strength, flexibility, and balance in your body, you will be eliminating conditions of stress produced by fast paced lifestyles.

The Bikram method was developed by Bikram Choudhury, founder of the worldwide Yoga College of India located in Los Angeles, California.
